《Tik Tok》（程式化：“TiK ToK”）的音乐制作人为Dr. Luke（Lukasz Gottwald）、本杰明·莱文（Benny Blanco），歌曲的录制地点选在加利福尼亚的康威录音室。在此之前（2005年），Dr.Luke在制作完凯莉·克莱森的专辑《Breakaway》之后，开始向全世界宣布将征制其他歌手的专辑。前来应征的有凯蒂·佩里及Kesha，而Dr. Luke在听完了Kesha以乡村谣曲及神游舞曲风格的演示样本后，便决定选用她。Kesha曾透露这首歌背后的灵感来自于她在某一天，参加完一晚上的聚会之后，半醉着跌跌撞撞回家的遭遇。歌曲歌词

《Tik Tok》是一首以流行电音为主的电子舞曲，并包含了Bitpop元素，加插了时而活跃、时而钝停的鼓掌节拍及合成器流行音乐的元素。另外，歌曲还大量融入了电子音乐，舞曲旋律充满活力，并以咄咄逼人的态度迅速感染全世界[1]。《Tik Tok》的正歌部分由说唱表达，但副歌则是用有旋律的歌唱方式唱出来的。

《Tik Tok》歌曲的MV导演由Syndrome担任，MV的拍摄场景大多都是在Kesha的朋友家中进行的。MV开始播放后，开始显示Kesha从浴缸中醒来（其中闪插了一些派对中的镜头），然后起来在找牙刷，简单的刷了一下牙后，开始光脚穿一只靴子并刚好看到了全家人的合影，耸了耸肩，便下了楼，坐在楼梯上穿着另一只靴子，穿好后下楼，正好看到一家人正在吃早餐（“妈妈”看到了她这身打扮，惊讶的把早点摔到了地上），Kesha无奈的看着他们便头也不回地走出了家门。当她打开家门前的门栏，来到人行道时，她便骑着一辆电动车在街边散步。这时，她遇到了一群坐在地上的小孩子，于是她下车摆弄在他们旁边的音响。而后，走来一个男孩（邀她去玩），被她拒绝了。过后另有一个男人（西蒙·雷克斯扮演）驾车并出现在她面前，Kesha马上就被他吸引了，于是赶紧跟他上车。在车上，Kesha摸着男人的脸并亲了他一下，她又站在副车座上唱歌。这时，警察将他们拦住，并逮捕Kesha给她铐上手铐。到了下一个镜头，Kesha在一个空荡荡、不断有闪光飞屑涌出的空房间内唱歌。过了一段镜头，Kesha走出房间来到开派对的房间，走过正在热舞中的人群，尽情的Happy。
