创作背景
《Castle On The Hill》创作于2015年中期，是专辑《÷》中第二个完成的歌曲。《Castle On The Hill》的主题是致敬坐落萨福克郡的弗拉林汉小镇，而歌曲标题中的“Castle”则来源于小镇的弗拉姆灵厄姆城堡（Framlingham Castle），艾德·希兰在弗拉林汉小镇生活过，并留下来美好的记忆[1]。该曲的创作受到了布鲁斯·斯普林斯汀的歌曲启发，尤其是《The River》。在听过许多斯普林斯汀的歌曲后，艾德·希兰决定创作出一首回顾童年和成长的歌曲，于是便有了《Castle On The Hill》 。
