1999年于德国海德堡大学获得博士学位,1999-2004年先后在德国国家癌症研究中心、哈佛大学医学院从事遗传与发育生物学专业博士后训练与研究。现为美国遗传学会、美国发育生物学学会会员、中国细胞生物学学会第九、十届理事会理事(2007-2015)、中国细胞生物学学报第一届编委(2010-2014)、《Cell Research》、《Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry》等SCI期刊审稿人。
以果蝇为模式生物体,研究相关发育过程的遗传控制以及表观遗传调节机理。实验室目前在下列两个研究领域开展工作:
1.干细胞及相关细胞谱系发育的调控:研究性腺发育与卵子发生中,生殖干细胞、成体干细胞及两大细胞谱系-生殖细胞和滤泡细胞的发育调控机理,涉及干细胞的自我更新/分化、干细胞与微环境的相互作用,滤泡上皮组织的体轴模式建成/形态发生等。致力于发现和鉴定重要功能基因、表观遗传调控因子等。
2.JNK信号通路及其调控:筛选JNK信号通路新的调节因子/效应分子,并功能性鉴定该调节作用在相关发育过程中的意义。
